ReacTime is a modular Reaction Training System that can be expanded to a complete Championship False Start Detection System. Unlike some simpler systems, ReacTime has no “contact pads”, and it cannot be tricked. The system is easy to use and rugged. The battery or AC powered blocks are waterproof and are designed to withstand the tough demands of a track environment.

ReacTime When used as a stand-alone personal training system to help sprinters improve their starting technique, an individual ReacTime module can be used to record and display an athlete’s gun-to-motion times to an accuracy of 1/1000th of a second. The competition ReacTime system detects false starts (as defined by IAAF rule 162.10 and USATF rule 60.18) – to an accuracy of 1/1000th of a second – and instantly signals this information to the starter.

Totally modular and upgradeable.
Accurate to 1/1000th of a second.
Clips to virtually any starting block.
Battery operated and rechargeable.
Cannot be “tricked” like many other systems.
Can be linked to FinishLynx timing systems.
Automatic or Manual starts.
Downloadable reaction traces for detailed start analysis.
Rugged, waterproof construction designed to withstand the rigors of everyday use.
Same technology for Reaction-Time Training System and Championship False-Start System. Buy a Training System today and simply upgrade to the Championship System at a later date.
24 hour – 7 day a week – U.S. based technical
support from the manufacturer.

When they are available, starting blocks linked to false start detection apparatus are used to assist the starters. The apparatus shall emit an acoustic signal, audible to the starter whenever the reaction time is less than 100/1000th of a second. When such apparatus is used, the Starter shall wear headphones in order to hear, clearly, any acoustic signal emitted in the case of a false start. As soon as the Starter hears the acoustic signal, and if the gun was fired, there shall be a recall.

The Starter shall immediately examine the reaction time on the false start apparatus. Unless the apparatus was obviously not working properly, a false start shall be charged to the athlete(s) with a reaction time faster than 100/1000th of a second.
